Billy Ray Garrett, 60, of Rose Hill went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 14, 2024 at Holston Valley Medical Center.

Billy was born on January 20, 1964 in Pennington Gap, Virginia to the late Dewey and Bobbie Garrett. He proudly served his community as a member of the rescue squad and fire department for many years. Billy was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Richard Garrett and Roger Garrett.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 35 years, Vickie Garrett; daughter, Tabitha Garrett; brother, Gary Garrett; sisters, Kay Garrett, Linda Garrett, and Sharon Caskey; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Pennington Gap Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow Pastor Josh Osteen officiating.

A committal service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Lee Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 AM to go in procession.
