Obituary Billy James Clark, age 79 of the Big Hill Community, went to his heavenly home on January 2, 2022. He was born June 27, 1942 in Stickleyville, VA to the late Nathan and Eva Clark. He was of the Baptist Faith and attended Rameys Chapel Church. He loved his family, friends and church family. Billy was a retired coal miner and farmer. He spent his time tinkering with lawn mowers which he really enjoyed. Billy loved his fur babies Sassy, Blue, Bigfoot and Bella. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty (Hess) Clark, son Marvin Clark, Sr., daughter Regina Spivey and granddaughter Autumn Clark, four sisters Geneva Woods, Alma Ward, Betty Laster and Mary Elmore, one brother Johnny Clark and many nieces and nephews. Surviving are his two daughters Barbara (Layton) Scalf of Johnson City, TN, and Demie Olinger of Pennington Gap, VA, one son Gene (Crystal) Clark of Weber City, VA, grandchildren Joey (Rhonda) Yeary, Jessica (Andrew) Cox, Misty (Thomas) Brock, LJ (Tina) Scalf, Marvin (Angela) Clark, Jr., Amber (Will) Daniels, Demi Livesay, Monica Livesay, Brandon Clark, Samantha (Adam) Mullins, Crystal Phillips, Roger (Justice) Clark, Brittany (Doug) Skidmore, and Christopher MeQueen, twenty great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a very special friend Ronnie Mullins. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday with Bob Grider and Jack Clark officiating. Burial will follow at the Clark Family Cemetery in the Big Hill Community.
