Betty Faye Rivers age 80 of Pennington Gap, VA was born Monday, May 9, 1937 and passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017 at her home. She had been a home health caregiver and of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her parents Millard and Grace Rivers, one son Tex Allen Rivers and one brother Wesley Rivers. Betty is survived by one son Daniel Eugene Rivers of Pennington Gap, VA, two daughters Wanda Dale Tester of Elizabethton, TN and Kathy Gwen Peters of Jonesville, VA, nine grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three brothers Boone Rivers of Sterling, VA, Wayne Rivers of Church Hill, TN and Marlin Rivers of Dryden, VA, four sisters Jewel Vanerburg of Dryden, VA, Mossie Rivers of Indianapolis, IN, Dovie Rivers of Duffield, VA, Ina Tomlinson of Charleston, SC and several nieces and nephews.
