Obituary

Betty Corrine Hines Crusenberry
March 12, 1964 – October 16, 2026

Betty Corrine Hines Crusenberry, of Jonesville, Virginia, was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 16, 2026, at the age of 62. Born on March 12, 1964, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Benjamin H. Hines and Betty J. Hines.

Betty was truly one of a kind, she was funny, quick-witted, adventurous, outgoing, and full of personality. She had a remarkable gift for making ordinary moments extraordinary and turning simple gatherings into memories that would be talked about for years to come. Whether it was a holiday celebration, a gathering with friends, or simply an opportunity to have a little fun, Betty believed in making the most of it. There were games to be played, decorations to be admired, and often an assortment of beads, hats, and other surprises that made every occasion uniquely hers. With Betty, life was never meant to be dull.

Perhaps one of her most beautiful qualities was her extraordinary generosity. Betty found genuine joy in giving to others, and nowhere was that more evident than at Christmastime. She delighted in choosing gifts, creating surprises, and making those she loved feel special. For Betty, giving was never simply about the presents themselves. It was about the thought, the excitement, and the happiness reflected on the faces of those receiving them. She gave generously because she loved deeply.

To the children blessed to know her as "Aunt BeBe," she was someone magical. She loved spoiling them, celebrating them, and making them feel that they were the most important people in the world. Being Aunt BeBe was a role she cherished, and the love she poured into those relationships will remain one of her most enduring legacies.
Betty also treasured her friendships, including the lifelong bonds she nurtured over the years. She loved her family, held a special place in her heart for animals. She was also a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Behind Betty's vibrant personality was a woman of remarkable perseverance. From childhood, she faced health challenges that required strength and resilience beyond what many will ever understand. Her journey was not always easy, and there were battles she fought that others could scarcely imagine. Yet those struggles were only one part of her story. There was so much more to Betty than the hardships she endured.

Above all, Betty loved the Lord. Her family takes comfort in knowing that the struggles and suffering of this earthly life are now behind her, and that she has found the peace and rest that only Heaven can provide.

She is also preceded in death by the love of her life, husband Jerry Crusenberry, 2 brothers: Benjamin C. Hines and Robert H. Hines.

Among her survivors;
Sister: Marsha Twigg and Husband Michael of Jonesville, VA and a Brother; John D. Hines of Jonesville, VA.
