Obituary Bert Noe age 72 of Smith, KY passed away Saturday, September 15, 2018 at his home. Born March 2, 1946 in Harlan County, KY he was the son of the late John D. Noe and Elizabeth Smith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother Raymond Noe, one sister Gillie Ann Wells. Bert is survived by his wife of 46 years Phyllis Jean Noe, whom he married March 7, 1972. He is also survived by four daughters Melissa (Marty) Renfro, Stephanie (Eddie) Coubert, Angela Noe all of Franklin County, KY, Rhonda (Darrell) Hitch of Sandy Hook, KY, eight grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. Other survivors include one brother Mart Noe of Frankfort, KY, three sisters Christine Hensley and Rebecca Stewart both of Harlan, KY, Pauline Harris of Florida and several nieces and nephews. Bert co-owned and operated Cubs Gas Station for several years. He loved nature and spent many hours surrounded by the beauty of his beloved mountains of Harlan County. He was of the Christian Faith and a member of Shepherds Chapel.
