Barbara Ann Penley, age 81 of the Hickory Flats Community of Pennington Gap, VA was born in Keokee, VA on Friday, March 30, 1934 and passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at the Wellmont Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap, VA. She was a retired sales clerk and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Darvin 'Manford' Penley; her parents, Silven and Virgie Rutherford and one brother, Keith Rutherford. She is survived by one sister, Dovie Penley of Pennington Gap, VA and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 16, 2015 in the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap with Rev. George Penley officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until time of services Wednesday. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Lee memorial Gardens in Woodway, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:00 A.M.
