Obituary Barbara Jean (Poteet) Fleenor was born October 14, 1940 and passed away January 28, 2022 at Lee Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Eastern Sunrise Freewill Baptist Church. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Lon and Maudie Poteet, son Carl G. Fleenor, one sister Eileen Peters, and one brother Wesley Travis. She is survived by her children Sherry Parsons of St. Charles, VA, Lonnie Fleenor of Dryden, VA, John Fleenor of Pennington Gap, VA, Tom Fleenor, Sr. of Big Stone Gap, VA, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, two sisters Mary Alice Dobbs of Louisville, KY, Willie Hyden of Kingsport, TN, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
