Barbara Ann Jones, 83, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Lee Health and Rehabilitation in Pennington Gap, Virginia.

Barbara was born on July 22, 1942. Known for her warmth, dedication, and unwavering faith, Barbara was a devoted member of the Church of God of Prophecy. Her spirit was a source of inspiration and strength for not only her family but also for all those who knew her.

Barbara was preceded in death by her loving mother, Vivian Orick, and her devoted spouse, Johnny Jones; sisters, Mary Ellen Orick, Ruby Jones, and Pansy Mabe; brother, James Glenn Orick; daughter in law, Caroline Jones.

Those left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Debbie Galloway (Keith); son, Johnny Jones; sister, Rebecca Orick; grand children, Brittany Jones, Heather Jones, and John Galloway; great grand children, Gracie, Mason, Baylee, and Isabella; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Lee Health and Rehabilitation for their care.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation at Pennington Gap Funeral Home - Jones Family Services in Pennington Gap, VA, on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A funeral service will follow at the same location at 7:00 pm with Tim Cradic and Angie O'Dell officiating.

The committal service will be at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, VA, on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 11:00 am. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:15 am.
