Auburn "Aubie" Olinger, 69, of Dryden went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 25, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Auburn was born on October 19, 1954 in Lee County, Virginia to the late Ernest Olinger and Estelle Edens Olinger. He worked as a coal miner for several years until his retirement. His life long trade was being a farmer. Auburn was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend to many.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his daughter, Jessica Olinger; brother, Robert Olinger; and sister, Pam Olinger.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 50 years, Reba Olinger; daughters, Kristy Olinger, Jennifer Tritt and husband Chris; grandchildren, Tiffany Sexton, Arielle Tritt, Matthew Hill, Blake Tritt, and Madison Olinger; great grandchildren, Blayne Sexton, Aubree Cox, and Jarrett Cox; brother, Danny Olinger and wife Margaret; sister, Susie Spurrier and husband Harold; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 30, 2023 at Pennington Gap Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Paul Davis Jr. officiating.

A committal service will follow the funeral service at Olinger Family Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
