Ashley Dowell-Grubbs went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 21, 2026 surrounded by her family. Ashley loved her children deeply and would want to be known by that.

Ashley is preceded in death by her father: Paul Dowell, maternal grandparents: Lewis and Mickey Smith, paternal grandparents: Emory and Charlcie Dowell, and father in law: Clayton C. Grubbs.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband: Clayton Grubbs, children: Hunter (Jaleigh), Ashton, Jarred, Addison, Sophia, Jackson, and Ryleigh "Sue" granddaughter: Layla Whitten, mom and step dad: Gary and Linda Calhoun, step-brother: Bradley Calhoun, sisters: Rachel (Joey) Saults, and Cassondra (Robbie) Elliott those who Ashley loved as brothers and sister: Adam Rasnick, Kayla (Erik) Burke, and Brittany (Terry) Owens, mother-in-law: Carla Grubbs, and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held in Ashley's memory on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 2:00 pm at the Eastern Heights Presbyterian Church Cemetery 431 Old Jonesboro Road, Bristol, TN 37620 with Jimmy Carr officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from friends and family
