Arthur "Ott" Garrett age 72 of Pennington Gap, VA was born Friday, February 11, 1944 in Pennington Gap and passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at the Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap, VA. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge, attended the Fleenors Chapel Church and had worked for a Virginia Manufacturing Company. He was preceded in death by one son Immanuel Garrett, his parents Bill and Mary Garrett and two brothers Elmer and Robert Garrett. He is survived by one daughter Tonya Garrett of Fluvanna, VA, three grandchildren Amber Roberts of Pennington Gap, VA, Blake and Jake Lane of Woodway, VA and four brothers Walter Gene Garrett and wife, Geraldine of the Long Hollow Community, Sam Henry Garrett and wife, Reba, Jack Pierce Garrett and fianc, Helen all of Pennington Gap, VA and Franklin James Garrett and wife, Mary Mae of Woodway, VA. A service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, VA with Chris Myers officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon Thursday until the time of the service. At the request of Mr. Garrett he will be cremated.
