Alma Jean Ingle, 82, a 58 year resident of Hanover, MD and formerly of Jonesville, VA died July 12, 2016 at Carroll County Hospital. Mrs. Ingle was born June 2, 1934 in Jonesville, VA to the late Haley and Fred Roberts. Mrs. Ingle worked as a Custodian for 37 years at the Jessup and Hanover Elementary Schools retiring in 2000. She was a member of the Wilderness Chapel in Hanover. She enjoyed crocheting and was often referred to as, 'the best nanny in the world!' In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ingle is preceeded in death by her husband of 22 years Walter Ingle, son Ricky Ingle, daughter Theresa Ledger, brothers Tom Roberts, Albert Roberts, Meb Roberts, and sisters Pearl Jerrell and Virginia Shupe. She is survived by her sons Jasper Ingle and his wife Diana, Walter Ingle and his wife Sheryl 'Toot', Jimmy Ingle, daughter Elizabeth Squibb and her husband Patrick, son in law Butch, 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Friends may call Thursday, July 14, from 3-5 PM and 7-9 PM where services will begin at 8 at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122 and Saturday, July 16 from 1-3 PM where services will begin at 3 at Province Funeral Home, 29521 Wilderness Road, Jonesville, VA 24263. Interment will be held Saturday, July 16, immediately following services at the Ingle Cemetery in Jonesville, VA.
