Alayn Sheola (Lani) was born 7/26/1944 and was 79 yo at the time of her passing on 6/19/24. Lani lived in Pennington Gap, VA for the past 15 years. She died of Liver Cancer at Lee Health and Rehab Center. Lani moved to VA with her partner Jacques Loisel from Kissimmee, Florida.

Lani worked as a fashion model and designer from 1963 to 1975 at Hess's Dept Store in Allentown, PA. Her glamorous career took her on trips all around the world including Japan, China, Mexico and St Martin.

Lani also worked for many years selling real estate and vacation condominiums in Orlando, Florida prior to relocating and retiring in Pennington Gap, VA.

Lani loved traveling, decorating her home, animals, Disneyworld, political discussions, and spending time with friends and family.

Lani is survived by her daughter: Rosemary Sheola in Belchertown, MA, her sister: Winnie Berndt in Allentown, PA, her grandson: Emrys Bond in Montague, MA and her 2 great grandchildren: Karianna and Lucas Bond in Amherst, MA.

A memorial service will be held at Lee Health and Rehab Center on Monday, July 15, 2024 at 1:30 pm.
