Adine Bishop, 81, of Pennington Gap went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Lee Health and Rehabilitation Center with her family at her side.

Adine was born on February 24, 1943 in Lee County, Virginia to the late Dewey and Martha Fritz. She was a lifelong resident of Lee County and was a homemaker. She loved her family and spending time with them.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Bishop, who passed away early in their marriage; her companion of 43 years, Cecil Castle; her son, Anthony "Tony" Bishop; brothers Curtis, Elmer, and Willie Mart Fritz; sisters, Mavis Gunn and Ethel Manis.

Adine is survived by her sons, Rick Bishop and his wife Karen and Roy Bishop and his wife Tonya; daughters, Janet Lane and her husband Roy and Debbie Wells and her husband Greg and Doris Wallen and her husband Jackie; brother, Marion Fritz; sister, Patsy Gunn; grandchildren, Jennifer, Melinda, Nikki, Tara, Shayne, Whitney, Megan, Kayla, Tiffany, and Miranda; great grandchildren, Hannah, Haley, Adam, Evan, Aidyn, Ryder, Case, Riot, Alec, Gavin, Adler, Everlee, and Grayson; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on Monday, April 22, 2024 at Pennington Gap Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Jeff Gunn officiating.

A committal service will follow at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
